We’re easily reached by public transport. The 842 bus stops opposite our door, and the city bus interchange is just 10 minutes’ walk away. For those driving, there’s a public parking area just outside.

Once you’re on the road, it’s helpful to have a few tips for driving in Canberra. As you may have heard, the city has a lot of roundabouts. So, it’s important to study your route carefully before you leave, and plan which exits to take.

In addition, the weather in Canberra can be volatile, especially in the colder months. If you hit wind, rain, sleet or snow, be sure to slow down. If conditions really deteriorate, then it might be a good idea to stop in a safe, sheltered place.

All that said, Canberra has lovely, wide roads, and much less traffic than Australia’s other major cities, which usually make driving straight-forward and enjoyable.

Our most popular rental truck – the 4.5 tonner – can be driven on a standard car driving licence, as can vans and utes. To drive a bigger truck, you’ll need an MR (medium rigid) licence.

The minimum age for most trucks is 21.

Definitely. Our office is open from 8am daily, closing at 4pm Monday to Friday, and at midday on Saturday and Sunday. But, if you need to drop off your truck after hours, we can organise that without any trouble.
