If you're in an incident and cause damage to the vehicle, or other property loss as a result of use of the vehicle you'll only be liable for $1,650 or the repair cost - whichever is lower. See our rental terms and conditions for more details.

On pick up a pre-authorisation equal to the gross rental cost plus deposit for the first 28 days of the rental (known as the Billing Cycle). At the end of the first Billing Cycle, Sixt will capture the gross rental cost for the first Billing Cycle, release the deposit of the frst Billing Cycle, and then pre-authorise the gross total plus deposit for the second Billing Cycle. This will continue until the end of rental period.
To give drivers flexibility, there's no penalty for ending a contract early. You'll just need to pay the difference between your current rate and the applicable one for the actual rental term. For example, if you signed a 12mth contract and you cancelled after 6mths, you would need to pay the gap between the 12 & 6mth rate, over the 6mths you rented.
