Victoria hasn’t had the easiest time of things this year, but as the smoke clears, it’s easy to see that this state is still spectacular, filled with things to do, and brimming with positive, outdoorsy people.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Who isn’t secretly a bit of a Harry Potter fan?
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is playing now in Melbourne at the Princess Theatre, and it’s the perfect night out for slipping into a world of magic, adventures, and our favourite boy wizard.
Keep in mind that this play is told in two parts (both almost three hours long), so you’ll attend either two nights in a row, or during a matinee and evening show.
The play runs until July 12 in Melbourne, so you have plenty of time to check it out.
Panorama Garden Estate
Take a beautiful one-hour drive out of Melbourne down onto the Mornington Peninsula to visit the Panorama Garden Estate.
This gorgeous spot hosts a secret garden and a wildlife sanctuary, so the kids are guaranteed a fantastic day meeting cute animals and exploring the fairy village, and grown-ups will love the stunning garden features and walkways.
Summer is a particularly pretty time to visit, and any excuse to head out to the Peninsula is a good one.
The Great Ocean Road trip
Is it still summer in Victoria without a cruise down the Great Ocean Road?
This short but breathtaking drive is dotted with incredible Great Ocean Road attractions, from the Pinnacles to the Hopetoun Falls and the Loch Ard Gorge.
Even if you’ve taken this road trip before, there are always new things to see and do, including unusual Great Ocean Road attractions and different places to stay.
Squire’s Beer & BBQ Festival
Make your way down to Frankston for an event that’s all about summer with barbeque, beers, and good times.
This annual event will be held this year from February 21 to 23, and will host everything from food eating competitions and live music to market stalls, an on-site barber, fire performers and much more.
This is a great opportunity to get your friends together for one last summer festival at one of the most popular holiday destinations in Victoria.
Grampians Music Festival
The Grampians is one of the best places to visit in Victoria, and what better excuse than to attend the Grampians Music Festival?
Held on February 28 and 29 at Halls Gap, this festival is one of live music from Australian artists, as well as great food and drinks. It’s family-friendly and just three hours from Melbourne by car, giving you a chance to see some of the most spectacular mountains in Victoria as you boogie on the grass.
