We’d like to share our recent car rental experience with Sixt.
We rented a bmw i3 in Sixt downtown Los Angeles in Nov 2024. After a few days into our driving, a warning sign kept on showing up on the screen saying “engine coolant low, risk of engine damage and risk of scalding”.
We called the customer service to ask for help, they told us the car needs an immediate exchange and directed us to Sixt Anaheim. There, we met Nathan, who happened to be in that store for temporary support. And that was when our luck with Sixt began. Nathan’s problem solving attitude and great sense of humor immediately calmed us down, considering we just drove 80 miles with a warning sign flashing.
Step by step, Nathan tried various solutions to help us troubleshooting.
First, he tried to find us the engine coolant to fill in. As the engine was very hot at that time, it wasn’t a good time to add engine coolant.
Then, he checked whether there is another bmwi3 for us to change into in the location.
When there isn’t one, he offered to upgrade our car for us.
This experience left a long lasting impression on us. Professionals like Nathan made us feel safe and secure on the drive. We will for sure rent cars from Sixt again because of people like Nathan in Sixt, and will definitely recommend our friends and family to rent from Sixt.
