Good to know when renting at Edinburgh Airport
Yes, you can return your hire car 24-hours a day at our Edinburgh Airport branch. When returning your car, follow signs for 'Car Rental Returns' and park it in a designated SIXT space. A keybox will be available where you can leave the keys.
The airport in Edinburgh is around 10 miles from the city centre with the journey taking around 40 minutes on average. Once you pick up your hire car, take the first exit on the first roundabout and take the third exit on the next. Merge left onto the A8. From there the way to the city centre will be clearly signposted or follow the sat nav provided.
You have to be 21 or over to hire a car with SIXT. Enter your pickup time and date in our booking funnel to see what cars are available at Edinburgh Airport. There you can use the age filter to see exactly which car categories are available to you. Young drivers will also have to pay a daily surcharge.
