For the return: Please plan 10 minutes for the way from the car park to our branch due to the local infrastructural conditions.
Your way to SIXT
The SIXT branch is located "Am Hauptbahnhof 2" in the inner courtyard of the LBBW building (Landesbank Baden-Württemberg). Coming from the tracks, keep right in the direction of LBBW. In principle, regardless of the direction you are coming from, you can follow the blue line on the floor in the direction of DB Reisezentrum / Lounge. When you enter the building, the station is on the right.
By car
Take the A8 in the direction of Karlsruhe to Stuttgarter Kreuz. Now take the A831 in the direction of Stuttgart city center. Take the B14 towards the Heslacher Tunnel. Leave the B14 at the Staatsgalerie in the direction of the main train station. Turn left at the first traffic lights. You will see the main train station on the right, the SIXT branch is located directly in the LBBW building (inner courtyard, Am Hauptbahnhof 2).
SIXT Parking
The SIXT parking lots are located on the second floor in the underground parking of the LBBW building, Heilbronner Straße on the right handside (Am Hauptbahnhof 2).
Return information
Follow the signs in the direction of the city center and the main train station. When you have arrived at the main train station, you will find the vehicle return facility in the LBBW multi-storey car park (address: Am Hauptbahnhof 2, 70173 Stuttgart). Drive the spindle through to the end and take the last barrier. Follow the signs (symbol car with key) to the SIXT parking lots. You will be directed to a separate area reserved for car rental companies. There you can park your SIXT vehicle anywhere you want. Please deposit your parking ticket in the vehicle.
Key Return: Please go through the door to the tracks. Coming from the tracks, keep to the right in the direction of the LBBW building and enter the DB travel center. You can orientate yourself on the blue line on the floor - it will take you directly to the SIXT branch. The orange key safe is located at the entrance, here you can insert the key or, alternatively, hand it in at the SIXT counter during opening hours.

My overall experience here was a positive one. Although when I showed up originally, the type of car reserved was not available. I reserved an Audi Q5 or similar and was told only a sedan was available in the same class and would have to pay for an upgrade. We upgraded to a BMW Kombi, but then reached out to Sixt about the experience. They reached out immediately and offered to resolve the issue. We then reached out and asked if it would be possible to get an Audi Q5. The branch manager was able to locate one in a town we were going to for a Christmas Market we wanted to visit and we swapped the cars with no issues. My family has used Sixt for all rental needs over the past few years and although this experience was not ideal on pickup, they resolved the issue and went above an beyond. Therefore they will continue to get my money whenever I need a rental.
