After excellent experiences with SIXT in the UK, I chose this for a one-day rental during a cruise ship stop in Le Havre. Renting a car for a dash to Paris proved more pleasant than I expected, and the staff at SIXT Le Havre were all friendly and accommodating, speaking excellent English. I'm calling this experience five stars, but one caveat for fellow Americans. I don't want to judge an overseas operation by American standards, but for anyone used to finding clearly marked return parking I'll mention that you simply park the car "anywhere around here," to quote the staff. It made me a little nervous since every nearby spot was filled upon our return and we ended up parking uncomfortably far away, but it all worked out fine... just different... for me anyway. I highly recommend this location for cruisers or anyone looking for a nice car and friendly people. SIXT is the best.

I rented a Fiat 500 for a day trip to Mont Saint Michel for my family of 4. We were in Le Havre for 14 hours as part of an NCL cruise. We walked from the ship to rental location (about 15 minute walk) and were greeted by friendly staff around 08:15. I had reserved a car online and the agent had the contract and car ready. The process was quick and efficient. We were in our car and on our way it about 15 minutes. We drove 2.5 hours to the abbey, saw the sites, stopped in Avranches for a late lunch, and were back in Le Havre by 6 PM. I had read reviews for this Sixt location and was anticipating a challenge finding parking on the return, but that was not an issue. I had no problem finding a spot on the side-street for my little Fiat. The office was closed, so I left the keys in the drop box. First thing the next morning, I received an email acknowledging the return and then another with the final charge which was exactly what I had been quoted online. The entire experience couldn't have been better!
