Your way to SIXT

The SIXT branch is situated in the rent a car building of Split airport, please follow the signs for rent a car.

By car

Take the A1 and then the exit at Prgomet Trogir. Drive towards Split and enter the airport area after 17 km. In front of the main building at the traffic lights, turn right into the SIXT parking area.

With public transport

From Split and Trogir you can take bus 37. It stops in front of the airport. You can also take an airport shuttle bus. You can take a ferry in Split port which is going to the Resnik port and then walk 100 m to the Split airport.

SIXT parking

SIXT parking is situated next to the main building, 50 meters away from the airport. Please follow the signs for the rental car parking.

Vehicle Return

When coming by road from the direction of Split, the SIXT rent a car parking lot is located on the main road 250m before the entrance to the airport on the right. The parking lot is marked and two billboards are clearly visible from the main road. When coming by road from the direction of Trogir at the roundabout, take the second exit in the direction of Split. After 250m, there is a SIXT parking lot on the left. The parking lot is marked and clearly visible from the main road. The parking lot is about 250m away from the main airport building and can be reached on foot via the public parking lot. The walk takes about 3min.

SIXT's location at Split Airport

The SIXT desk at Split Airport is conveniently located outside the Arrivals Hall in a separate car hire building. Once you have collected your luggage and entered the arrivals hall you will see signs for car hire - the SIXT desk is located here where you can collect your keys. To return your Split Airport car hire follow the signs to the airport and turn right into the SIXT parking area at the traffic lights in front of the main terminal building. It is possible to collect or drop off your car outside main office hours though there is an extra fee for this service.

Venture up Marjan, the hill on the Split Peninsula, just west of the city and take in some views over Split and the nearby islands. Take your Split Airport car hire onto the open road and visit the Krka National Park, which is an hour inland from Split, taking in the beautiful Skradinski Buk waterfalls and natural pool. Slightly closer to Split, just 8 miles to the north of the city, is the medieval fortress of Klis.

I was very pleased with the service Sixt provided me. The team were friendly and very helpful. The drop-off was equally efficient and even though the rental returns is not as close to the airport, we were then driven to the departures area. My only observation was the fuel tank was not full and the rear wiper blade was missing. I was advised to photo everything such as fuel, wheel rim scratches, dents, interior marks, missing wiper blades etc. Be thorougher :). I had no issues so very happy.
